Mark Krench studied under Dr. James Hartway at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he received a Master's degree in Music Theory and Composition. He also studied Music Composition under Professor Robert W. Jones at Schoolcraft Community College.

Mark moved to Los Angeles where for ten years he worked on scores for such feature films as Ceremony: A Marriage of Inconvenience, documentaries like AIDS: A Medical Alternative, a host of short films, trailers and PSAs. While in Los Angeles, Mark attended the Film Scoring Program at the University of Southern California where he studied with a number of film and television composers including David Raksin (Laura, The Bad and the Beautiful), Academy Award Nominee Bruce Broughton  (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes) and Christopher Young (Runaway Jury, Spider-man 3). Mark also participated in the BMI Film Scoring Workshop headed by composer Earl Hagen (I Spy, The Andy Griffith Show).

Since then, Mark has worked on various short film projects such as Nightmare, Best of Care and Reign of Terror. He has also worked on a number of feature films including 7 Kilos, Partyline, Nevermore and When Darkness Falls.

Most recently, Krench signed on to compose the score for Templar: Honor Among Thieves. He is currently working on preliminary themes and compositions for the film.

Mark currently composes scores out of his personal studio in Wyandotte, Michigan where he lives with his wife, Jacqueline and their black cat Ebony.
